Should India host Olympic Games? This question is coming in the minds of lot of Indians after getting success in CWG in terms of medal won.
If Olympic Games can give food, cloth, water, electricity, education and other essential goods to those 95% of Indian population who are unable to earn their livelihood, and whose income is even less than one lac per year, Olympic game must be hosted.
In our country where even justice is not available to normal citizen from Indian judiciary and Indian police stations in want of adequate quality and quantity of manpower we should not dream of wasting energy in conducting games like Olympic or Commonwealth Games which requires as much as 70000/ crores of rupees or more.
Our country has reportedly spent Rs.70000/ crores in hosting CWG which has reportedly enhanced the image of India in International forum. This amount can enable seventy lac students to afford professional education. Only by annual interest of such amount India can manage all Indian courts or at least 25% of Government hospitals and provide medicine free to poor Indians. And if interest of such amount is honestly spent on administration to wipe out corruption in India, I am very much confident that India will be number one in the world from all angle of consideration. “Bharat me dudh ki ganga phir bahegi jo ham itihas me padhte the”
Worm of corruption has been continuously causing erosion in India, in Indians and in Indian value systems. We have read about corruption story of CWG. We have witnessed corrupt games played by heads of state government. We have witnessed even corruption in raising questions in Parliament. Now a days, even Ministry is allotted or demanded depending upon the available budget in the department. We have seen how formation of government and allotment of portfolios to Ministers in the state of Jharkhand has taken place. We have seen Madhu Koda and Reddy Brothers in Andhra Pradesh. We have seen how crores of rupees are collected by Congress Party minister to arrange fund for rally to be organized for Sonia Gandhi. We are witness of growth of cancer of Naxalism in India due to corrupt Indian politicians who seek support from Maoists in election and who provide fund to them indirectly through development fund released by Government under social welfare schemes.
This is India, shining India with hardly 5 % of Indian population actually shining and where entire talk of GDP growth is farce for majority of Indian. And hence hosting of Olympics is a matter of no concern for Indians in general.
